Vermont Playback Theatre was co-founded by Jennie Kristel and Herb Propper about 2.5 years ago and
have been rehearsing and performing since then in both open and themed
performances.
We offer ongoing workshops introducing Playback
using Playback and other theatre methods to support groups in empowerment
and self understanding. This includes using Playback at a Teen leadership
conference at colleges and through the dream theatre.
We performed about 6 times last year starting
with First Night in Burlington. We often perform open performances at
Burlington College. We also offered a workshop and performed at the
International conference on Sustainable communities.
Both Michael Watson and
Nancy Manning also lead rehearsals and conducting in the Artistic Director's
absence.
